On 7 th June, Suzanne and Per Henry Garman-Vik hosted a concert and cocktail party for 68 Friends of the Oslo Philamonic orchestra. It was held in their rambling, elegant old apartment in Skillebekk which also houses Per Henry's studio. It was the first time a concert has been arranged in a private home, and the guests were able to see the many musical paintings that grace the walls as well as listen to the two extremely talented musicians.

Genevieve Jones from the Friends of the Philamonic introduced the accomplished musicians Hans Josef Groh, a cello player from Germany, and Gonzalo Moreno, a pianist from Spain. The duo who were known to many of us through the Oslo Philamonic and various ensembles knew we were in for a treat, and what a treat it was! Their fabulous repertoire was varied ranging from Boccherini, Beethoven, Schumann, Greig and Martinu.

At the end of the performance the enthusiastic audience applauded so much that the feisty musicians played an encore. Garman-Vik (who is a lover of classical music) was thrilled to hear that his paintings had so inspired them.
